I promised you to make your mouth water and you nipples harden.

So.. Here it is:

Food porn!

In no particular order… (And may I also – sadly – for the record say, that I made none of this food… But I ate most of it! )

Raspberry sherbet with fresh and freeze dried raspberry, toasted hazelnuts and marengs plus dollops of dulche leche…

Raspberry foam, vanilla cream with Oreos and licorice dust.

Cod with hollandaise sause, carrots, dill and yumminess.

Pork with pickled onions and chanterelles  in a mushroom glaze.

Duck with rhubarbs and morels in a glaze.

Rustic bread with plain and herb-butter. How cool is that wooden plate the butter is on??

Snacks: Cruton-toast, olives and roasted, salted almonds, pretzel sticks all to be dipped in dijon-aise, herb-onaise and smoked cream cheese and devoured with a glass of chilled cava.

Plaice breaded with wheat flour and fried in butter. Simple and beautiful!

Cod – a popular, tasty  (and healthy)  fish around my neck of the wood here with 3 cabbages. Who knew cabbage could be light and elegant and not taste like fart?

Smoked halibut with smoked cream cheese and julienne veggies and crisps. This was sooooo gooood!!

Chocolate cake with a warm, creamy, liquid center – served with buttermilk sorbet and pickled cumquats.

This looks delicious, right? It was. You are going to loose your most recent meal when I tell you what it is though. I almost can’t make myself say it. I was vegetarian for 16 years and then I ate this?? Ok, here goes… Brace yourselves: This is the thymus gland of a calf. Only young calfs have it, they outgrow it. Anyway, it is very tender and really delicious. For me, not the poor little calf. Damn.

I guess the same rules apply with food porn as with regular porn: It can be interesting and even inspiring to watch but it really isn’t the same as participating yourself.

None the less, as the sailor told the nun: I hope that was as good for you as it was for me – but I doubt it.

Love,

Cinda
