I am moving house.  Do you know how much stuff you accumulate over a period of 23 years?  A lot.  Twenty three years in my little house, but now I am moving.

It was just the two of us at first, me and hubby.  Just married and now moving into this old dilapidated house.  Everyone thought we were crazy leaving our nice apartment for THIS?!

It was just us two, we had plenty of energy and we wanted to put our mark on our home.  The kitchen traded places with the bedroom, a wall between two rooms came down and a larger living-room emerged.  A new roof.  As time went by we had less energy and everything became a chore.

Time for something different?  You bet, let´s have children!  Let´s have our very own Baby Boom.  We had tried our hand at making children by making whoopee, but we weren´t successful.  Just before the end of last century we did it Gangnam Style (yes, the first) and boom!  By 2003 I had delivered 4 children into this world and bought some legos for the floor, subsequently also crocs in size 41 and 45.

Add a few years and the inevitable “Can we keep a lizard?” resulted in a decision.  We are getting a dog.  We are SO getting a dog!  Following shortly was cold feet, and then the brief period of goldfish keeping.

So, now we have a cat called Cuddly.  Turns out he is people shy and doesn´t ever want to sit in our lap or be petted.  He endures an occasional pick-up, but he just wants to be off.  In the summer we venture out of the city.  We cannot take the cat along.  We try, but he has a seizure in the car and pants like a dog after a mile long run.  So we turn back and leave him at home with some food in the bowl and plenty of water.  After a few trips we start to feel sorry for Cuddly and decide to get him a partner.  Not that he is gay, we just think he could do with some company.  Enters Tiny.  They get along and Cuddly trains him well.  Now we have two cats ignoring us all day.  But they look peaceful when sleeping and go with the furniture.

The count is up to six people and two cats.  We need more space.  So now we are moving.  A frightening fact.

Happy times ahead…?!
