I got away from my group of friends, as we went down to the Fjord to watch the traditional Mid-Summer bonfire.

Making my way through the crowd, I caught up with my boyfriend and took his hand. We stood there for a while, leaning in on each other, holding hands, enjoying the sight of the fire, when suddenly, through the flames, I saw my boyfriend on the other side of the fire.

Slowly, I looked down at my hand, holding what I thought was my boyfriend’s hand. At glacier pace, my eyes travelled from his hand up along the arm and ended at the face of a VERY happy guy.

“Dude, when was life ever THAT easy?”, I asked as I let go of his hand and dove back into the sea of people to get to the other side and hold the right hand.

Sometimes it is, though.
