Fall is here and so are the great apples. Here is a very easy recipe for a wonderfully comforting apple cake.
You need:
4 tart apples
2 eggs. large
150 grams/5,3 Oz. sugar
50/1,8 Oz. grams melted butter
3/4 dl./2,5 Oz. milk
150/5,3 Oz. grams flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. cardamom
Optional: Nuts
To make:

If you are using child labour, get the wee ones peeling and cutting while your are making the batter.

Watch out for those tiny fingers… (My favorite little belly.)

Mix the eggs and sugar until white and frothy. Then add the melted butter.

Mix all the dry ingredients and add them to the mix.

Add the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon. If you like, you can add a hand full of your favorite nuts- hazelnuts go very well with apples, as does walnuts.

Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200 degrees Celcius/ 390 degrees Fahrenheit

When it is cool, you can powder with icing sugar, it looks pretty. Serve as is or with whipped cream – or àlá mode.
